This is a 9 hour workshop, beginning on Monday evening and continuing on Tuesday.

When you were a young one, did you get into trouble when you cut your dolls hair? Well, you get to deconstruct a doll with me and you will be praised for doing so. She will be reassembled into her own new look. We will then sculpt her an outfit using Venetian Plaster, paint her a pretty face and plaster coat her, hand sew her a fluffy skirt, and create some wings so she can fly.

Kit Fee of $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

• Nylon netting
• tight weaved cotton
• spool of rusty wire
• plaster
• metal cone

Supplies Instructor will provide to share in class:

• gloves
• wire cutters
• pliers
• water dishes
• wipes
• nylon thread
• paint for face details
• gel medium for collaging cone
• buttons
• old cookie sheet
• paper plates for paint

Students should bring :

• bisque or porcelain cloth stuffed body (very important) doll with legs and arms, approx. 12 to 15 inches long, head size approx. 4 x 3 inches. Thrift stores are a great place to find these dolls. They do not have to be vintage.
• Cotton fabrics – detailed hankies work well, along with other bits from old cotton blouses with ruffles, etc.
• Soft pieces of lace, silk or soft ribbons for embellishing (optional)
• Sponge brush
• detail paintbrushes
• heavy to medium body white acrylic paint
• clear gesso
• hair dryer or small crafter’s heat gun
• needle and thread
• scissors
• wire cutters
• small pliers
• vintage text or papers (not to thick) for collaging cone
