Type of Workshop: Process and Project - Students will finish at least one completed piece

Working with metal clays doesn’t have to be difficult, expensive or require costly kilns! This is a terrific introduction to working with metal clays and the inexpensive torch firing method. Students will create delicate, worded paddles of Fine Silver that hang from crystal components and swing freely for a flirty, yet refined pendant. Also covered in this class is basic hand finishing and for highlighting embossed silver. This is an ideal project for mass production designed for gifting and/or selling. (Crystal colors may differ than those shown in photo).

Kit Fee of $10 payable to Instructor at class time includes:

• metal clay finishing tools
• torch set-up
• patina
• toothpicks
• baby wipes
• embossing plates (available for optional purchase following class)
• drill, an

Students should bring:


• 7-10 grams of Art Clay Silver
• chain nose and flat nose pliers without grooves
