Ancient Relic Necklace - bronze clay project

This is a 6 hour workshop taught on two mornings.
This class will teach many layers of using Bronze PMC to create a necklace that is ancient in feel but with updated materials. Students will learn to manipulate the clay in many forms. Using rolling, texturing, hand forming and mold forming they will create several pieces to incorporate into a fashionable wearable “relic”.
A two 1/2 day project class, the student will come away from this class with in depth knowledge to conquer the creativity that Bronze PMC can offer.
Day One: Creating the pieces and parts for our projects. Overnight instructor will take the pieces home to fire in the kiln.
Day Two: Kiln usage discussed and finishing of necklace.
Materials fee of $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- Bronze clay
- Bronze jump rings
Students should bring :
- Basic jewelry making tools (round nose pliers, flatnose pliers, files etc.)
- If you have a PMC kit of tools that would be helpful
- Also bring any chain, beads, buttons, etc to incorporate into the finished piece
