This is a new workshop.
What exactly is mica? How can I use this material most effectively in my art?
In this workshop you will learn to recognize mica in it’s natural, composite and manipulated forms. You will master the ins and outs of this material by familiarizing yourself with each of mica’s unique characteristics. Whether you are interested in jewelry, book arts, mixed media, collage or simply curious about a new material this workshop is designed for you. I will share methods and tricks I have discovered and picked up in the nearly 20 years of collecting and using mica in my own work.
