Another brand new workshop from Jane. Create a bumpy, lumpy, nubby background with a variety of papers, fabric, tags. Then learn to create a transparent foreground (focal point) for your piece, adding color for a stunning original artwork.
Supplies Provided by Instructor:
- White artist tissue
- copyright free images
Students should bring:
- Paper substrate (140 lb watercolor paper or mixed media paper)
- assortment of papers, tags, nubby fabrics, labels~anything with texture
- soft gel acrylic medium (8oz.)
- white gesso (4oz.)
- paint brushes (small for detail, medium for paint, and foam brush for gesso)
- water container
- paper towels
- scissors
- liquid transparent acrylic paints
- permanent ink pen (fine point)
- images from your sketchbook or to trace (copyright free suggested)
- optional: color pencils
