Four ordinary stretched canvasses will become one of a kind masterpieces ready to hang when you get home. This is a resist technique that allows you to alter magazine images and colors! We will cut, paste and alter a selection of magazine images and textured papers in your choice of colors to create these multi use minis. Each one can stand alone or grouped as squared, vertical or horizontal sets. Join me for this exciting full day class where all levels are welcome, no experience is necessary.
Materials Fee of $10 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- Crystal clear acrylic gloss spray sealer and Future floor wax
- Nevr Dull purchased at the hardware store
- Portfolio oil pastels
- Textured wallpaper and Decorative paper to be painted
- Small plastic bottle with Jacquard Stainless Steel metal tip # 9 filled with a white PVA glue ( Elmer's )
Students should bring:
- Sharp paper scissors
- Plastic T-square ( 12” ) from craft store
- Glue stick and Golden Soft gel
- Old paint brush number #4 or #6 for glue and #8 for paint
- Acrylic paint in your choice of colors
- Small paper cutter if you have one ( to cut even strips )
- One set of 6” by 6” stretched canvas that is sold as a set and equals a 12” by 12” canvas. Please prime with black gesso before class ( top and sides )
- 10 magazine images 7” squares - Images should show strong line design and shapes in your selected color - Please pick one strong color to match your decor and a second color
