Do you love found objects? Why not learn to recreate and cast the treasures you find a long the way in resin. Learn what it takes to make simple molds to duplicate found objects and the resin techniques to cast one of-a-kind dimensional piece’s that can be added to your mixed media work. Whether you want to recreate the likeness or alter and make unique you will learn a number of resin strategies including, but not limited to, how to color, layer, age and finish your casted creation.
Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes for use in class:
- two-part mold material
- two-part resin
- two-part epoxy
- a variety of elements including papers, transfers, colors, additives, charms and crystals
- other tools and supplies
Supplies Provided by Instructor:
- all tools and misc supplies needed in class
- access to my group of things to mold
Students should bring:
- scissors
- fun things to mold
Optional:
- a variety of elements, including found objects and paper you would like to work with or add to your pieces
- parchment paper
- baby wipes/wet ones
