  Kelly Kilmer

Student Level:

Type of Workshop: Process and Project

In this workshop, you will learn some of my favorite quick and easy composition and design techniques. Learn how to bring together background papers and focal images in various ways, creating unique and expressive pages. These are fundamental techniques that can be applied to a multitude of media.

Instructor will provide for use in workshop:

  • rubber stamps
  • gel medium
  • a vast abundance of washi and deco tape
  • collage ephemera
  • transparencies
  • rub-ons
  • a plethora of pens and markers for you to experiment with
  • a large variety of my favorite stencils
  • all supplies necessary to make and complete the project except what is noted below
  • much, much more (I don't travel light!)

Students should bring:

  • scissors
  • bone folder
  • metal ruler
  • one chip/bristle brush to glue
  • waxed paper
  • paper towels (or a rag to glue with)
  • permanent ink pad (like Staz-On)
  • water container (to clean your brush)
  • small selection of favorite collage ephemera (background papers, focal images, etc… It is fun to bring your own favorites to make your project more personal)
  • baby wipes (optional but nice to have!)
  • a few of your favorite glue sticks (unless you prefer to work with gel medium which the instructor will be providing for you)
