Get the look of rustic romance with this filigree and fiber bracelet. Delicate chocolate brass filigree provides a lovely foundation in which to add your own metal-stamped sentiment saying that is properly attached with cold-connection nuts and screws. Techniques include metal stamping into sheet metal, attachment, forming the filigree into a cuff, adding color and style with frayed ribbons, altered crystals, briolette-wrapped beads, wirewrapping and a handmade clasp.
Materials fee of $12 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- filigree cuff
- base metal sheet for metal stamp sayings
- fibers
- 18-gauge, 20-gauge and 22-gauge wire
- jump rings
- patina solution
- beads
- Also includes use of instructors tools such as metal stamps, drill, drill bits, bracelet mandrels, etc.
Students should bring:
- round nose jewelry pliers
- chain nose or flat nose jewelry pliers
- wire cutters
- small steel bench block or anvil
- ball peen hammer
- 1 piece of extra fine steel wool
