60s meets Steampunk Monday 6:30 - 9:30 $65 Connie Cox
Student Level: Beginner
Type of Workshop: Process and Project
Do you miss the vinyl albums of the 60's and 70's? If so, here is your chance to bring vinyl back with a modern steampunk twist. Using assemblage and jewelry making techniques we will work on 2.5 inch records. Composition and design will be addressed while we pay homage to our favorite band, create one of a kind necklaces or create adornments for scrapbook pages or other mixed media projects. You will learn small scale assemblage and jewelry making techniques, methods for adhering jewelry elements, how to make bails from common junk drawer items, how to color & age metal, and how to make record albums from game pieces. A little 60's music is in order, don't you think? Come put your records on!
