Connie Cox

One of Connie's earliest memories is sitting at a table with her Kindergarten peers thinking about drawing. She enjoys taking and teaching workshops as she gets to relive this happy time. Connie plays in mixed media with found objects, photographs, fabric, and jewelry. Her inspiration comes from family life, travel adventures and wandering through antique shops & back alleys. Connie spent her career as a psychologist for public schools in Montana & Colorado where she especially enjoyed creating art therapy programs. Her teaching experience includes working with children ages 4-19 in public schools, teaching art classes to adults in the community ed. setting, and training psychologists and administrators in violence prevention programs. Connie's art and photography has been published in numerous publications from drawings for Control Data Corporation in the 80's to dozens of craft and Memory Makers books & magazines in the early 90's to most recently having photographs included in "Dusty Diablos" from North Light Books.
