Josie Cirincione

I do not have a formal degree in art; but I always found myself drawn to art and different art forms. I have taken a variety of classes based upon my interests at local community colleges and at the downtown Phoenix Art Center . What started out as making simple cards for myself, led to collage art and working with different mediums. This opened the door for my first book, “Collage Lost and Found”. My second book “Bent, Bound, and Stitched” came out spring of 2008 and I am working on a 3 rd book called, “Solder Technique Studio”. It will be available spring 2012. I deal in vintage antiques (1930’s through 1960’s) and this passion has enabled me to amass quite a collection of ephemera and found objects that find a home in my work. I currently teach arts and crafts workshops; sell my jewelry, art, and other handmade objects at specialty boutiques around the valley. I have appeared in 3 episodes of DIY, “Craft Lab”. My work has been featured in a variety of publications: “ Artist Trading Card Workshop: Create, Collect, Swap”, by Bernie Berlin. Somerset Studios, “Holiday and Celebrations, Volume One 2007”, “Paper Crafts, October 2007”, “ The Art of Collage Jewelry”, by Janette Schuster, “Stampers’ Sampler”, Aug/Sep 2008, and “Belle Jewelry”, Fall 2008, Somerset Studio “The Art of Paper and Mixed Media”, March/April 2009, and have a regular feature in the basics section of, “Belle Armoire Jewelry”.
