Acrylic Mediums come in various formulations from Gloss to Matte. Do you want to discover how to maximize your understanding of these formulations in your own work? Would you like to move from a glossy surface to a “glassy” surface, or move from a matte surface to a “faux encaustic” surface? Do you have questions about when to use certain products and how to use certain products? What does Self-Leveling mean? Why use Soft Gel and not Regular Gel? In this class you will not only USE all these products, but you will learn to use them in a variety of ways. You will learn which to use as an adhesive, which to use for faux-encaustic applications, how to make juicy glazes and how to create near-resin like surfaces. You will learn how to create pours and which you can “carve.” Take the mystery out of all of your products and learn to choose your how clearly or vaguely you want your images to appear. We’ll be creating mixed media pieces with a variety of application techniques to demonstrate your new found knowledge! You’ll receive some free samples of Golden Gels as well.
