Bridget Benton


Bridget Benton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a Master’s Degree in Creativity. She has worked and taught in a variety of creative media since 1988 including fiber, photography, jewelry, collage, paint, encaustic, text and performance. She currently teaches art workshops out of her home studio in Portland , OR , as well as traveling to teach encaustic and mixed-media with organizations like the Nature Printing Society and the Healing Arts Project. Her art tutorials have been featured in GreenCraft magazine, whipup.com and craftzine.com, and she has demonstrated a variety of art and craft techniques on the television show AM Northwest. Bridget’s passion is helping people rediscover their own creative power, and her workshops tend to focus on nurturing this intuitive process. She believes strongly in finding beauty in the moment, getting out of the way to let art happen, and the power of intuition. Her book, Artmaking as Playful Prayer, is a guide to igniting your own creative spark as a part of your spiritual journey.
