This class is all about the design of a collage. This is a process class, but students should take home a finished collage. What makes one collage better than others? It tells a story – drawing the viewer in and holding their interest. While building these photo montages, students will learn about selecting images that will work well together, about placing them. We’ll talk informally about direction and unity of the collage – how to move the viewer through the elements of the collage so they can “read the story” that you are telling. Students will receive lots of individual attention and help in putting their story together.
Materials supplied by Instructor: Paints and Mediums
Supply List:
- 2” chip brush
- Brayer or wallpaper roller
