    Have you ever wanted to learn how to solder?  Well this is your chance.  In this class you will learn the basics of soldering and then move into more advanced work.  I will share with you my techniques to create three to five beautiful works of art. Repetition creates habit and this is one habit that is good for you. Or should I say addiction. I will also show you how to add texture to your soldered pieces to make them unique. We’ll explore working with wire by bending, curling and wrapping the pieces to make them your own. You can make them into pins or hang them from silver ball chain or ribbon to wear your art around your neck. We will also complete the great 1x1 size that you can use for trades which is all the rage. I will show you how to cut glass and we will play with the different patinas to use on your pieces (if you wish) to turn them into aged beauties or copper friends. Come take your soldering to new heights.  I promise you will walk away knowing how to solder and might even be selling these little beauties.

    We will finish 3 - 5 pieces - repetition makes it sink in!

    Kit Fee of $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes: a soldering iron, soldering board, flux, solder, wire, rings, and glass, silver ball chain and/or ribbon (your choice)

    Supplies Provided by Instructor - Full instructions, patinas, gloves, windex, alcohol, paper towels, images, extension cords/power strips, pencil, sharpie, Swarovski crystals.

  • exacto knife and pad (optional)

  • I will supply you with a selection of images but feel free to bring your own in sizes 1x3, 1x1, 1.5x1.5 (no glossy photos). If bringing your own images make sure they are finished because we won’t have time to collage in class.
