This is a 9 hour workshop taught in one evening and the following day.
This class is a perfect introduction to glass mosaics. After two days students will be confident in the skills of mosaic art such as nipping, adhesives, placement, grouting and everything needed to complete a beautiful piece for your home. Students will have a choice of 12” structure, either a butterfly or skull (Day of the Dead is right around the corner). I provide a kaleidoscope of colored glass to choose from and we learn how to follow line and space to fill our piece to perfection.
We will also discuss other aspects of mosaic such as exterior, ceramic, and sculptural. You will leave with confidence to continue this art form at home on all sorts of projects. Warning: Mosaicing is highly addictive!!!!!!
Kit fee of $20 is payable to Instructor at classtime and includes the wood framework, adhesives, primers, glass and tiles, grouts.
Instructor provides all the tools needed for this project: nippers, cutters, pliers, sealants and all other accoutrements.
Students only need bring their imaginations.
