Fused Mini Clutch
Wednesday eve 6:30 - 9:30 $65 Marylin and Tracie Lyn Huskamp
Student Level: All
Type of Workshop: Project
This workshop, suitable for all skill levels, explores a fusion technique to create a one-of-a-kind fabric then transform the fabric into a mini clutch. The clutch may be carried for a special occasion or placed inside a larger handbag to hold small items or makeup. Using scraps of fabric, paper, threads, yarns and various fibers students will explore a way to transform these snippets and bits into a unique piece of fabric. This is a great method for recycling items that would normally be tossed away and focuses on an environmentally friendly project. This unique clutch is definitely a project where trash becomes treasure. The fusion clutch may be accented with a lovely Vintage pen or other piece of jewelry, ephemera or decorative trim.
Teachers will demonstrate constructing the clutch with Steam-A-Seam 2®. Sewing is NOT a requirement for this class.
