In this technique/project class fabrics are used as collage materials. Most of us have a stash of material that we love. I took my stash and created beautiful pages for my journals, workbooks and canvas art. These colorful collage pieces can be used as free form art pieces, journal pages, framed for wall art, or combined with your mixed media work. You’ll learn collage, color shading and basic design. If you would prefer to complete your work on a 5” x 7” canvas board, wood board or within one of your journals, please bring the additional materials along with you to class. You’ll finish 2 or more of these colorful, quilt style collage pieces, and find a fun, fast way to use your material stash.
Materials fee of $5 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Bag of colorful material scraps & pieces, Trimmings: fibers, yarns, antique ephemera, 140# Watercolor paper, Copies of antique photographs, Sponge applicators, Cancelled Stamps, Colored Threads, Drying tools, Buttons
Supply List:- Golden soft gel medium, matte
- Gel application brush
- Kaleidacolor raised rainbow dye inkpad – Calypso, or any multicolored stamp pad you have
- Rubber Stamps
- Water carrier
- Scissors
- Ultimate Glue
Optional:
Fibers, yarns, antique ephemera- Laser print copies of antique photographs you might want to use in your art work
- Individual materials you would like to incorporate into your piece
