Jane LaFazio is a mixed media artist who works in paper and cloth. She began her artist life as a watercolor painter in 1992 and watercolor continues to be her chronological first love. Jane became a full time artist in 1998 after years of working in graphic design and marketing, and says about her life now “I believe I’m living the life I was meant to live, that of a creative artist, and art teacher.” She teaches sketching & watercolor: journal style, mixed media, and art quilts. Jane’s work is frequently shown in the magazines Cloth, Paper, Scissors and Quilting Arts and she appeared twice on the third season of Quilting Arts TV. Her artwork has been featured in galleries, juried mixed media exhibitions and publications as an artist featured in Danny Gregory ’s An Illustrated Life and her art quilts have been widely published in books such as Mixed-Media Self-Portraits; Art Quilts at Play; Surface Design Essentials; Material Visions; Fabric Art Gallery; and Beginner’s Guide to Art Quilts.
