Bridget Benton


Bridget Benton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a Master’s Degree in Creativity. She has worked and taught in a variety of creative media since 1988 including fiber, photography, jewelry, collage, paint, encaustic, text and performance. She currently teaches art workshops out of her home studio in Portland, OR, as well as traveling to teach. Her art tutorials have been featured on whipup.com and craftzine.com, and she has demonstrated a variety of art and craft techniques on the television show AM Northwest. Her assemblage, fiber collage, and encaustic works have appeared in gallery shows throughout the Northwest. Bridget’s passion is helping people rediscover their own creative power, and her workshops tend to focus on nurturing this intuitive process. She believes strongly in the beauty in the moment, getting out of the way to let art happen, and the link between creativity and spirituality. Her book, Artmaking as Playful Prayer (Scheduled for release in January, 2010), is a guide to igniting your own creative spark as a part of your spiritual journey.
